In His Time

Have you ever noticed how God is not in a hurry? For example, I would have loved to have this blog up and running months ago but God saw fit for me to be working on other important things. I have definitely learned to commit my day, my life to the one that created it. I have also learned that when I do this there is much less struggle. What God is calling for is full surrender. A surrender of those things we hold dear, close to our heart, a surrender of our desires. The desires that are heart wrenching at times, those desires that seem to be in everyone else’s grasps but yours. Those desires that you know God put in your heart so why? why can’t you have them? Haven’t I been a good child Lord? Haven’t I served you well?

Let’s go deeper than a blog. You and I know we are talking about deeper subjects. In my own life, one of those desires would be a child. Maybe for you it is the same. Maybe for you it is a husband, A relationship to be restored, your prodigal to return home, a child to know Christ and serve Him, the home you always dreamed of, leaving your job to move into ministry, the perfect marriage (by the way there is not one!), or maybe its just to be free, healed from some pain or bondage in your life.

Friends, let me encourage you. God moves in His perfect timing not ours. Sit on this a moment, God is not blessing you now in your timing because He is waiting to bless you instead with His perfect timing with His very BEST! He is never late, but He is sometimes not early either. He is sometimes a God of the midnight hour, God of the early morning. He sometimes waits until the last second so He may be glorified. Remember God is not concerned with time “Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape you, beloved, that with the Lord one day is a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.”2 Peter 3:8 What He is concerned about is our Faith and Trust in Him. He will stand on His promises. He put those desires in your heart and He will fulfill them in His timing!

Sometimes our self-will and spirit of independence must be broken so God is free to work His will in our lives and circumstances. I believe He wants to be sure that we are not going to take matters into our own hands and do something out of His perfect timing. This is my story. In my journey of infertility and waiting for my blessing, I have had much advice in how I should move forward. However, I want to know my blessing has come from Him alone so the only advice I am taking is from my Lord. He has told me “Once you have done the will of the Father, then you will receive the promise.” Hebrews 10:36 I believe this is what He would have me say to you today!

While you and I are waiting for our mountain to be moved, we must know God is doing a good work in us and He wants us to look around for others we could bless, comfort, serve. He wants us to be content in the now because during the now is when He does his finest work. In the now is when we are changed and so are others! So I encourage you to Pray, seek, and you will find. Pray and He will tell you things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3 Pray, and you will receive!

I hope you will enjoy this new space provided for you to visit and be encouraged. My prayer is that you and I would become friends, that you would be blessed as I become transparent and share my heart. I was overwhelmed at the responses on the old blog site coming in from all over the world and was saddened when we had to change directions and put my readers on hold. So I am praying God will begin to pull you all back in because I know He has something specifically to say to YOU!

Sweet Blessings, Jeannie
