Good Morning!
Did you think I fell off the planet? Well I have wondered myself. Time was hard to capture before becoming a mommy now it is almost impossible! However I have prayed and devoted myself to a little GOD time no matter what the day brings, no matter if it is only five minutes! A little GOD time can sustain you a long way!
Because of this season of my life, God is changing up my writing a bit. You know my heart has always been to encourage your heart no matter what life storm you are passing through. In my blogging I will turn you to God but also add some mommy encouragement meant to bless you no matter what stage of motherhood you are in!
Today and everyday God pursues and He never stops. Over and over scripture shows us how God pursues and attempts to reconcile fallen men and women to himself. “For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost” Luke 19:9-10. God is all about second chances, thank goodness! Does anybody need a second chance? I know I have. No matter our mistakes, no matter where our journey has led us to thus far, the great hope and promise is that even right now this very moment we have the power to change things, to change direction but only through the Holy Spirit! Someone reading this needs to know the God is pursuing you! Will you stop and face Him and allow Him to change the course of your life? That is my prayer! This is for all Christ followers no matter where you are in your walk, Is God pursing you to something different, new direction, or just calling you to be obedient to something? We must take some time out, a little GOD time and listen…
From a Mothers Heart: Speaking of second chances, I am so thankful for them when it comes to motherhood! A couple days ago, I decided I would venture out with my newborn alone. I thought, I got this! A few miles down the road and I was pulling over and jumping in the back of my van to soothe a crying baby. This led to a feeding, another stop led to a diaper change and by the time I reached my destination I looked down to only discover dried poop under my fingernails! I was emotionally wore out! I have never been so happy to pull back in my driveway. Through this adventure, I did not have the best mommy attitude but guess what? I get a second chance. So, today we are going to try it all over again.
Even if your children are grown and you feel you got it all wrong (by the way you didn’t) it is never too late. The power of prayer changes everything. “Rise during the night and cry out. Pour out your hearts like water to the Lord. Lift up your hands to him in prayer, pleading for your children”. Lamentations 2:19 And if your now a grandparent, hey! maybe that is why God made grandparents…to give you a second chance!
Have a poop-free day! Much Love,
Jeannie
