Confident In Your Calling!

Recently, I have had some ask, how do I recognize the call on my life from God?

My answer would be first, one must have confidence. Simply, confidence that there is a God who loves you, seeks to fellowship with you, and created you for a unique purpose. Because guess what? He does! And He did!

Next, nurture that confidence. This is much needed because there is an enemy who is a liar and he will work hard to tear down the very confidence the Lord desires to give you. He will speak lies to you in relation to that confidence and you must combat that with truth.

The enemy will use people you love even look up to or serve with to knock you off the path to which God has called you. Be on guard. You must only look up stay focused on Him! Don’t try to fill someone else’s call. Don’t let someone else persuade you into the wrong call. Look up!

Truth is you are worthy and you have the abilities to accomplish your call! Seek the great teacher which is Jesus Christ and he will begin to lead you in your call.

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagles they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 there is much to learn from this short passage.

Lastly, You must seek vision, the vision of God. Oswald Chambers once said “it is easier to serve or work for God without a vision and without a call because then you are not bothered by what He requires. Common sense, covered with a layer of Christian emotion becomes your guide. You may be more prosperous and successful from the world’s perspective, and will have more leisure time, if you never acknowledge the call of God. But once you receive a commission from Jesus Christ, the memory of what God asks of you will always be there to prod you own to do his will.” Powerful truth!

God will give you a vision and a call if you ask Him to show you what He wants you to do in your life. Once you identify the call begin stepping into the call, continuing to stay on guard and practice all the things noted above.

He will appoint you and He will anoint you! This is important to remember because you will face challenges. But it’s only when we face those challenges head-on and endure them that we can soar as the eagle to greater heights!

My life is worth nothing unless I use it for finishing the work assigned to me by my Lord Jesus that I might finish my course with joy Acts 20:24 Jeannie
