Into The Sea

follow Jesus

Hi Friends! This week I have been reminded of how to “Simply Follow Jesus” it sounds easy but lets face it, sometimes it is downright hard. Oh our heart, soul, and spirit wants to, but then there is the other three enemies: the flesh, the enemy (satan), and the world that screams in our ears..don’t go that way, BUT Jesus says the opposite! In Psalm 77:19 it says “Your way was in the sea, Your path in the great waters.”

My mind reflected back to Exodus 14 where we are told about the Red Sea crossing. Here in this passage the Egyptians were pursuing the Israelites and they were fearful. They began to complain and cry out to Moses in fear “…It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.” Exodus 14:12 Then Moses began to cry out to God, but then in verse 13, God goes on to tell them “Don’t be afraid, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord.” Then God instructs Moses to lift his rod, stretch forth his hand, and here we see the miracle of God dividing the Red Sea. God provided a way of escape. The Israelites walked on dry land through the sea and God dealt with the Egyptians.

Where is God asking you to go today? What is He instructing you to do?

The same is true for us as it was for Moses. When we begin to simply follow Jesus, He is faithful to lead us, and through this process, miracles happen. We begin to live a life of purpose and freedom. Our life is not the same. We begin to taste Heaven on earth, to experience supernatural providence and witness supernatural events like Moses did during the Red Sea crossing.

As for me, I’m stepping into the Sea. I am walking into the impossible because it is there I will meet yet another miracle. What about you?

Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord- Exodus 14:13

If you have faith as a mustard seed…nothing will be impossible for you. -Matthew 17:20

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. -Psalm 124:8

As for God, His way is perfect…He is a shield to all who trust in Him. -Psalm 18:30

In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. -Romans 8:37

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.- Psalm 32:8

DO NOT FEAR…DO NOT FEAR…DO NOT FEAR…

In Love and Obedience,

Jeannie
