Reject to Protect

Have you ever got frustrated with God because He just didn’t seem to be giving you what you wanted, or asked for, or thought you deserved? (ouch)

Well friends, let me suggest to you through my own life experiences that sometimes God’s rejection is His protection! God leads and protects us from things we cannot see. One of the greatest examples we see of this in Scripture comes from the Flight into Egypt. Take a peek at Matthew 2:13,15,19 ( I’m not going to tell you the story because I want you to dive into the Word for yourself)

Throughout this story we see three keys that are extremely important even for us today! 1. We see God Speak 2. We see Listening 3. We see Obedience Then we see how these three things ultimately have led to even our salvation today! Wow!

Okay, I just have to give you a preview into what I am saying (Just in case you don’t dive into scripture) I don’t want you to miss this. The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him to take Mary and Jesus and flee into Egypt because Herod sought the child to kill him Matthew 2:13 (We see two out of our three here: God Speaks and Joseph listens). Then in Matthew 2:14 Joseph takes them and departs into Egypt, hence the flight ( Here we see our third key, Joseph Obeys).

Here are some principles I have lived within that have really helped me and I hope they do the same for you. When God speaks He does so through four avenues: 1. The Spirit 2. The Word 3. His people 4. Our circumstances

When preparing to listen from God. There are three things to focus on: 1. A Plan ( Schedule and plan this meeting each day) 2. A Place ( pick a special place where the two of you meet) 3. A Purpose ( God speaks, you Obey)

I don’t know what is going on in your life right now but just remember if your experiencing rejection during your travels, start by just using the principles above. Re align your prayers and prepare to maybe take a different route than the one you punched into navigation. His plan is always better!

I will leave you with this Hosea 11:1. Here God shows His Fatherly Love. “When Israel was a child, I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt”

Now make it personal and add your name. For example: When Jeannie was a child, I loved her, and called my daughter out of Egypt.

Buckle up and enjoy your Flight, Jeannie
