The Evil Of Abortion: Where Do You Stand?

Updated: Sep 4, 2022

I was invited once again to give testimony as to why life should be protected in our state. I have packed up and gone many times so my voice could be heard. In the past, I have had sleepless nights and spent hours praying and seeking the Lord in what message "He" wanted spoken and to my knowledge, I have been faithful to release His Words each time. However, this time was different. This time The Lord did not direct me to go, but instead directed me to go away with my family for a time of rest. I struggled a bit with this. I thought, "Lord shouldn't I seize every opportunity to speak on behalf of the unborn and their mothers?"

That is when I heard "Your voice will be used outside the system with those I have chosen for you to speak with". The reality hit me once again. The system is broken, evil, and will not be restored until Jesus returns and establishes His Government, His system. So what shall I spend my time doing? Being an influence, speaking truth individually with those God has me sitting in front of . That may be a woman considering abortion, that may be a women in need of healing, that may be an official that holds public office, that may be Pastor, that may be a believer or unbeliever. It may be a friend or even a stranger. It may be a peer or a co laborer.

I have felt burdened, burdened with the things of the Father's heart. Conversations I have had with different people have left me troubled and in deep ponder. I believe in healthy conversations, bold, civil conversations. I believe every individual has the right to be heard and I truly want to understand their perspective even if I don't agree with it morally, spiritually, or intellectually. Apart from listening to a person we loose the opportunity to minister to them, and to speak truth to them. There is always something to learn if we listen. These words hang in my home, "Speak in a way others want to listen to you, Listen in a way others want to speak to you." I try my best to live by them.

I love harmony, I love unity and we are told to seek unity amongst our brothers and sisters. "I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought." 1 Corinthians 1:10 So since abortion is a great divide, where does that leave us? Can we be united in abortion? As Christians, I would hope so, but as Christians if we think abortion should be allowed then my answer is no, because as Christians we can't support intentional death of an innocent baby when Christ died to give us every chance at life. Very simple abortion is death, Christ is life. ...." This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to His voice, and hold fast to Him. For the Lord is your life..." Deuteronomy 30:19

As Christians we can't support abortion in any way. No exceptions. Every life was created by God and for God in every circumstance, even in the horrific circumstances. We have to ask ourselves this question: Do we trust God or not with the outcomes? Is God bigger than any circumstance we face? Yes! Can He work all things together for Good if we trust Him and love Him? Yes! As Christians we can't say..well I don't personally believe in abortion or wouldn't choose it myself, but if someone else feels that choice is right for them then I support their choice. If we do this, we are still aligning with abortion. We have to stand firm against it and speak life over anyone considering it.

Satan's goal is to destroy all mankind and he certainly uses abortion as a great tool and his goal is also to destroy our unity. If we are to shake off our disputes and look to the greater cause which is the cause of Christ, we must first examine what abortion is to Christ and then we must lock arms in unity with Him! This is where we will find our harmony and unity. In Him alone. So let's examine some things.

What is abortion? by definition it is "the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy"

What is a human? by definition it is "a person, a human being, having human form, attributes, and characteristics."

What is termination? by definition it is " the action of bringing something to an end."

What is deliberate? by definition it is "done consciously and intentionally"

So, there we have it abortion is intentionally ending a human life. It is murder, but why do individuals have such a hard time speaking this truth and standing boldly against the evil of abortion? Many make it all about anything else like: rights, and health care, etc. When will society stop making it about selfish ambitions and ideology when it is really about LIFE, human life. Human life given by God. When will we stop compromising? Making exceptions? How many more precious babies have to die? How many more mothers have to suffer from emotional and spiritual pain? What will God say when we stand before Him. Will He say "whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40

Im not afraid to say the words...abortion is murder, because as a post abortion woman suffering the pain of abortion, it was those very words that SET ME FREE! Then God stepped in with His grace, mercy, and forgiveness and healed my heart & soul. It is truth that saves us and sets us free!

In 1865 slavery was abolished and worthy individuals with value and purpose created by God were set free. It is my prayer we will also abolish abortion so unborn babies with worth and value created with great purpose will also be set free...free to live an abundant life.

So where do you draw the line? Where do you stand? Do you stand with death and the father of lies? or do you stand with Christ and the Father of Life?

I am proud to say I stand with Christ. Do I want to see abortion abolished? Yes! Do I want to see babies spared from death so they can fulfill their purpose? Yes! Do I want to see hurting women healed and restored that have had previous abortions? Yes! Do I want women to be fully informed, educated, and supported in every way? Yes! Do I want to see lost souls saved and hurting people with all forms of trauma healed and set free by first coming into a relationship with Jesus Christ? Yes! Do I believe government should operate from Biblical morals and standards from which this country was founded upon? Yes! Do I believe as Christians we should stand in unity against all forms of abortion? Yes!

I wonder, do women know how significant they are in the earth? They are special and chosen by God to bring forth a miracle. A miracle of life. They are able to do extraordinary things and Jesus paid special attention to them. He bestowed compassion upon them. He spoke dignity and value into them and we must do the same. Many take the wrong approach. I vow to take the right approach. One of compassion and mercy. One of acceptance and love. I turn my focus, eyes, and heart towards healing. Healing of our land, healing for all individuals, healing specifically for women, mothers, children, and families. To reestablish the culture of family according to God, and deep love and loyalty to one another.

I vow to educate, inspire, and mentor women. To re establish the role and beauty of motherhood which is to nurture, protect, comfort their babies. Women have been lied to by the culture and its time for them to take back ownership of their God given role and embrace the call to womanhood and motherhood. It is time for them to walk in the fullness of their call. I pray all women will develop the heart of a mother once again!

May God's peace reign in your hearts and minds. May He give you wisdom and revelation for the days ahead. May you walk in truth and exercise bold faith. Seek His presence, walk in His ways because He is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE! John 14:6

Much Love,

Jeannie
