The First Christmas

The first Christmas took place so long ago,

It was an exciting time that day,

with the birth of the Christ child,

who was laid on the sweet-smelling hay.

With doves cooing sweetly getting the baby to sleep,

did this child realize the wisdom he would later speak?

Oh yes, he knew the Father’s plan,

that was brought down from Heaven to sinful man.

The Good News by the angels to the shepherds that day,

 of the precious Christ child, sleeping on the soft hay.

The Good News of the following star,

bringing the gifts of gold purchased from afar.

Yes, This Christmas is so special.

We all celebrate our part.
